river-quest began in 2004 when our founder, having spent fifteen years in textile conservation at a leading museum, recognised a gap in the market for specialist wool care that bridged the divide between industrial dry cleaning and museum-grade preservation.

What started as a small workshop serving collectors and vintage enthusiasts has grown into a respected service trusted by fashion houses, costume departments, and individuals who value their wool garments beyond mere functionality.
